Amsterdam – Urban Sports Week Amsterdam (USWA) returns to the streets of Amsterdam again this year. From 25 August to 3 September, urban sports such as BMX, inline skating, skateboarding, freerunning, breaking and 3×3 basketball will form the main menu of the atmospheric multi-day spectacle in the city.
Indoor and outdoor sports
With the Urban Sports Week Amsterdam in the last week of the summer holidays, the organisers are counting on plenty of interest again this year. The USWA is the stage in the Netherlands where urban top athletes can show their skills to a large audience and at the same time the event offers fans the chance to admire the best national and international athletes in these disciplines. In addition, all beginning and advanced urban athletes can enjoy themselves by participating in various activities, demos and competitions.
Something to do in all districts
In line with last year’s edition, there is something to do in all districts of the city. The existing urban sports facilities in the city will be used as much as possible. Several events will take place throughout the week in the Marnix Bowl, Skatepark NOORD, House of Urban Sports, Kraaiennest, Nelson Mandelapark, Flevopark Vert Ramp and the skatepark on Zeeburgereiland. But activities also take place in, for example, the Vondelpark and Tolhuistuin. Look for an event near you on this page.
